Gold star bets are our maximum liability trades
Silver star bets are our medium liability trades
Bronze star bets are our minimum trades


All good staking plans are based on a 'betting bank' this is an amount of money you have set aside for your betting activity, this should be money that you can live without and does not affect your day to day life. Do not use money that should be used for other things. You can start with as little as £50 or as much as £5,000 it is totally your decision as too what you can afford to use, the only difference is if your betting bank is larger you can potentially generate bigger returns.

Important Notice
You must follow the staking plan to make a successful profit from the advice on For the love of the turf . You may get a short term gain if you bet more than we recommend but in the long term you will more than likely fail and lose your entire betting bank. Patience is the key to successful gambling. Half the time in this game is spent waiting for a selection to become available and there are not opportunities every day, you do not need to bet every day to become successful, in fact the more you bet the less successful you will be.

Be patient if your starting off with a small betting bank you need to bide your time and wait for your bank to grow.


Gold Star Bets

Maximum Liability Lay bets will be no more than 10% of your total betting bank. Maximum Liability Back bets will be no more than 2.5% of your total betting bank.This is because a lay bet is far more likely to be successful than a back bet

Silver Star Bets

Medium Liability Lay bets will be no more than 5% of your total betting bank. Medium Liability back bets will be no more than 1.50% of your total betting bank.

Bronze Star Bets

Minimum Liability Lay bets will be no more than 2.5% of your total betting bank. Minimum Liability Backs will be no more than 0.75% of your total betting bank.


General advice will also sometimes be given that does not carry a star selection this means that it does not quite match the criteria for us to recommend it but it could still have a chance and we would suggest that you place no more than 0.50% of your total betting bank on any one of these.
